Only one glance at the display - and passengers are up-to-date. In modern public transport systems, vehicles are linked directly to the control centre, so it is relatively easy to keep the passengers up-dated. Developments, including any delays, are registered centrally in real time. The logical step is to make this information directly available to the passengers waiting at the stops: they can then see on a display if there is a delay, and when the next bus or tram will actually arrive. In the same way, on trains the next connections and any alterations can also be displayed.
