IVU.realtime for BVG

The light rail trains and buses operated by Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe BVG transport over 925 million passengers each year. These passengers want to know when the next train will arrive, whether they will make their connection and whether they will arrive at their destinations on time. Thanks to IVU.realtime, a passenger information system that was customised to BVG’s specific needs, passengers are always kept up to date. The system displays not only the latest bus and light rail departure times, but also provides information about rerouting and replacement service. A special interface makes it possible to provide up-to-the-minute information to passengers by SMS or via the Internet.
