Budapest never stands still. More than 1.7m inhabitants and 2.3m tourists a year keep the Hungarian capital on the move. Traffic congestion and aging technology pose challenge for Budapest’s public transport operator. Between 2012 and 2014, the city received a new operations control system – with assistance from IVU Traffic Technologies AG.
