IVU now with advisory board (PR)

Leading traffic experts as specialist advisers, Enhanced view for the potential of IT-solutions in public transport

"We are pleased that with Dr. Ganseforth, Herr Sparmann and Prof. Boltze we have been able to win three recognised experts in the transport sector as specialist advisers", said Prof. Ernst Denert, Chair of the Board of IVU. "We anticipate stimulating discussions on current and future developments relating to public transport. And of course we will also be talking about possible trends for new software solutions. I think this will prove to be an interesting process, and will be of benefit for us all."

Dr. Heinrich Ganseforth has had connections with IVU for some time. He knows the company both as a customer and as member of the supervisory board: from 1997 to mid-2005 he was Chair of the Board of üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe AG, and from June 2004 to June 2006 was a member of the Supervisory Board of IVU. Volker Sparmann also knows IVU as a customer: since 1992 he has been managing director of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund GmbH. In addition, he has been active for many years in important positions in national and international associations such as VDV and UITP, and he is one of the leading experts in Germany in the field of traffic and transport. Prof. Manfred Boltze has been head of Traffic Planning and Transport Technology in the civil engineering department of the Technische Universität Darmstadt since 1997, and since 1998 has been the scientific director of the Centre for Integrated Transport Systems (ZIV). His special research topics include traffic planning and transport technology, and increasingly also questions relating to traffic telematics and traffic management.

This means that the management of IVU now have three experts in the transport sector at their side as advisers. They will be able to support the company in the assessment of product and market developments in the field of IT applications in the transport sector; a further topic of consideration will be the expansion of contacts to companies and organisations.
