Contract extension for Prof. Ernst Denert (PR)
Chief Executive until end of 2009
The supervisory board of IVU Traffic Technologies AG has extended the contract of CEO Prof. Ernst Denert. He will continue in charge of the company until 31 December 2009.At the same time the Supervisory Board thanked Prof. Denert for his work in recent years in turning the company into a much more efficient software and system house. When Prof. Denert became CEO in 2001, IVU was in difficulties, but he has successfully led the company out of the crisis. In the financial year 2005, the software company returned to reporting a profit. And the figures for the first six months of 2006 presented to the Supervisory Board yesterday confirm this new stability.
Prof. Ernst Denert was born in 1942 and studied communications engineering and obtained a doctorate in computer science at the Technische Universität Berlin. In 1982, Prof. Denert and a partner set up the software house sd&m in Munich. As managing director, CEO, and later Chair of the Supervisory Board he played a leading role at sd&m over many years, and in 2001 the company had 900 employees. In 2001, Prof. Denert became Chair of the Executive Board of IVU Traffic Technologies AG in Berlin. In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, Prof. Denert has written numerous academic publications on software engineering and is honorary professor for computer science at the Technische Universität Munich.
