Q1 revenues up 17% in year-on-year comparison, EBIT and consolidated results show considerable improvements, Order-book situation very good
IVU Traffic Technologies AG has generated revenues of some € 6.1 million in the first three months of the current financial year. This represents an increase of 17 percent in a year-on-year comparison. The gross profits also increased by 13 percent to € 5.4 million. Q1 EBIT showed a considerable improvement from -€ 0.7 million to -€ 0.1 million, and the consolidated result improved by € 400 000 to -€ 0.2 million.
"The first quarter 2006 shows that the measures introduced over recent years have led to a significant increase in productivity", commented Prof. Ernst Denert, CEO of the Berlin IT-company, today presenting the Q1 report to the meeting of the Supervisory Board. "The team has been strengthened by specific changes, and efficiency has increased in particular in development and project implementation. This process will be continued throughout 2006: IVU is currently recruiting further highly-qualified computer scientists and software engineers."
IVU is steering towards a profitable financial year. The goal of the group for 2006 is to achieve revenue in excess of € 30 million and gross profits of € 25 million, and associated with this a considerable increase in EBIT.
IVU's order books are in very good condition. With the work already completed in the current financial year and the orders which are outstanding, at the beginning of the second quarter at least 80% of the planned revenue and the gross profits for 2006 are covered.
