IVU AG takes over 100% of LBW Optimization GmbH
Berlin, 4 April 2022 | Optimum duty and vehicle working scheduling for maximum efficiency – Berlin-based IT specialist IVU Traffic Technologies takes over LBW Optimization GmbH. This permanently ensures that IVU has exclusive access to the world-leading optimisation algorithms for resource planning in the transport sector.
For more than 20 years, IVU has been working closely with the specialists of LBW in order to develop powerful optimisation algorithms for duty and vehicle working scheduling for transport companies. LBW, a spin-off of the renowned company Zuse-Institut Berlin (ZIB), has specialised in the development of new mathematical optimisation processes.
In order to permanently ensure exclusive access to the world-leading optimisation algorithms in the transport sector and thus drive seamless integration into IVU’s products, IVU will retroactively assume 100% of the shares in LBW Optimization GmbH as of 1 January 2022. It was agreed to not disclose the purchase price.
LBW will remain an independent organisational unit and will be expanded into an optimisation laboratory of IVU. In doing so, the software company can continue to count on the entire team that is already in place and now grow even faster. The close connection that the mathematicians have to the Zuse-Institut will also be preserved.
