Stadtwerke Solingen rely on the IVU.suite
Berlin/Aachen/Solingen, 20 June 2023 | Fleet management, ticketing, and passenger information from a single source – Stadtwerke Solingen is now relying on the integrated complete solution IVU.suite, including IVU Traffic Technologies’ on-board computer IVU.ticket.box, for standardised management of all of the major city’s bus operations.
Year after year Stadtwerke Solingen (SWS) transports more than 24 million passengers across the "City of Blades" on the Wupper river, a city famous for its manufacture of knives and other cutting tools. The transport operator now relies on the IVU.suite – completely hosted in the IVU.cloud – to control its 116 vehicles in the best possible way, as well as standardising ticketing and passenger information.
The SWS control centre has an overview of its buses’ locations at all times, and can communicate quickly and easily with the drivers via a VoIP-based voice radio system as needed. The drivers use the IVU.ticket.box to control all on-board electronics such as audio and LSA analogue radios, the door control, or IBIS devices. In addition, the on-board computer shows all relevant information on the customer display, prints the tickets, and processes even demanding ticket data with ease.
