IVU and Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn extend their partnership for a further ten years

Berlin, 28th September 2026 | Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn (NEB) is expanding its partnership with IVU Traffic Technologies AG. At InnoTrans, the railway company signed an additional licence package for IVU.rail. In future, automatic personnel dispatch, the new Personnel Control Centre, and TEL TSI-compliant train path management will help NEB to plan vehicles, personnel, and train paths efficiently and respond faster to short-term modifications.

Signing the contract at InnoTrans is a clear symbol of the long-standing, successful partnership. NEB has been using the integrated IVU.rail software to plan and dispatch its rail operations in Berlin and Brandenburg since 2013. The new agreement extends the partnership for a further ten years and expands the established solution’s functional scope.

Duty optimisation helps NEB to efficiently create duties for its drivers. Automatic personnel dispatch then allocates them in accordance with the rules and in a cost-effective manner, while considering guidelines, work time accounts, and individual employee requests. The new Personnel Control Centre gives dispatch a better overview of the operational situation, manages personnel deployment in real time, and responds within seconds to disruptions or cancellations. With TEL TSI-compliant train path management, train paths for the annual timetable can be directly ordered and managed from IVU.rail. In addition, construction-related timetable changes can be imported from the infrastructure manager and directly responded to within the system. In future, NEB will use all applications in the IVU.cloud, thus creating a reliable, secure, and scalable base for the long-term operation of its systems.
