Bert Meerstadt appointed Chairman of Supervisory Board at IVU

Berlin, 30 May 2024 | At yesterday's Annual General Meeting (AGM), the Supervisory Board of IVU Traffic Technologies AG was re-elected: Bert Meerstadt will take over as Chairman and succeed Prof Dr Herbert Sonntag.

Prof Dr Herbert Sonntag has chaired the Supervisory Board at IVU since 2014 and is one of the founders of the Berlin-based software company. Martin Müller-Elschner, CEO of IVU, thanked him sincerely for his long-standing co-operation and extraordinary commitment to the company’s sustained development.

Bert Meerstadt has been a member of the IVU Advisory Board since 2019. As former Chairman of the Supervisory Board for the Netherlands’ national rail operator Nederlandse Spoorwegen, he brings extensive industry expertise to his new position. Ute Witt, Prof Dr Barbara Lenz and Dr Heiner Bente were re-elected to the Supervisory Board. The committee is completed by the two employee representatives Benedikt Woelki and Steffen Brümmer. Following the AGM, the Supervisory Board convened for its first meeting and elected Bert Meerstadt as Chairman and Ute Witt as Deputy Chair.

At the AGM, the shareholders approved the actions of the Management Board and Supervisory Board for the past year by a large majority, therefore confirming the course of the company's management. Sales rose by 8.2% year-on-year to € 122.5 million, gross profit by 11.7% to € 101.1 million and the operating result (EBIT) by 6.1% to € 15.8 million. The AGM approved the participation of investors with an increased dividend of € 0.26.
