go.on: Integrated IVU.suite system replaces individual IT solutions

Berlin, 4th December 2025 | Since the start of 2025, go.on Gesellschaft für Bus- und Schienenverkehr mbH has been managing its bus fleet with the integrated IT system from IVU Traffic Technologies AG. The first vehicles were commissioned just a few weeks after the start of the project.

As a private mobility provider in East Westphalia-Lippe, go.on operates a growing bus network and transports around 22 million passengers a year with over 400 vehicles. By introducing IVU software for its computer-based operation control system (ITCS) and ticketing, go.on is replacing a range of separate solutions with one fully integrated system. The result: more efficient processes, seamless data exchange, reliable passenger information, and sustainable optimisation of all operations.

The IVU.fleet control centre software takes over the central control and monitoring of bus operations. The IVU.fare sales background system organises all ticket sales, while IVU.realtime provides passengers with up-to-date real-time information. The IVU.handheld ticket inspection device enables digital ticket inspection, including e-ticketing, and acts as an on-board computer in combination with the IVU.cockpit software. The integration of all processes in one software solution creates synergies that speed up operations and increase the quality of service for passengers.

What made this project stand out: it took just four weeks to implement all the necessary hardware and software components and provide the required database.
